Youth Empowerment

Joan Agha Foundation is proudly recognized as a foundation supporting youth in Nigeria through its comprehensive Youth Empowerment Scheme. This initiative was designed to reduce unemployment among Nigerian youths by offering capacity building, skill acquisition programs, and business grants to launch or grow their enterprises.

As a foundation helping youth and women in Nigeria, we take pride in lifting talented young individuals off the streets and equipping them with practical vocational skills. Beneficiaries are trained through internships and apprenticeships tailored to their chosen careers, creating pathways for economic independence and self-sufficiency.

The Foundation further empowers youths by providing access to entrepreneurial training, mentoring, and local business exposure. With financial support in the form of business grants, many have started or expanded their ventures under our guidance—confirming our commitment as a foundation giving scholarships to youth in Nigeria and beyond.

Below is a recap of some impactful youth empowerment interventions offered by the Foundation:

Trained 1,134 youths in entrepreneurial capacity building and business development.

Financed the business ideas of 36 startup youth entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

Partnered with the International Women Society Skill Acquisition Center to sponsor 13 youths in skill areas like Catering, Photography, and Fashion Design.
