Women Empowerment

As a foundation helping, empowering, and supporting women in Nigeria, Joan Agha Foundation is dedicated to lifting indigent women out of poverty through skill acquisition and economic opportunities. Our Women Empowerment Scheme focuses on providing vocational training and interest-free soft loans to enable women to launch sustainable businesses and become productive contributors to society.

The Foundation partners with accredited skill acquisition centres to train women in various vocations of their choice. These programs are designed to enhance both technical and managerial capacities, empowering women to organize, operate, and grow their own businesses. In addition to the training, beneficiaries also receive basic equipment and seed capital—reinforcing our role as a foundation empowering and supporting women in Nigeria through practical and long-lasting solutions.
