JAF Commemorates International Women’s Day 2026 with Women Empowerment Initiative

Lagos, Nigeria — The Joan Agha Foundation (JAF) successfully commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 on March 11 at its office in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, bringing together guests, partners, and community members to celebrate women and promote economic empowerment.

The event was held under the theme “Give To Gain,” emphasizing the importance of investing in women as a pathway to stronger families, communities, and sustainable development.

In her welcome address, the President of the Joan Agha Foundation, Dr. Mrs. Joan Agha, reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hun… Joan Agha: International Women’s Day 2026 Celebration

The Joan Agha Foundation proudly commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Give To Gain.”

As part of our commitment to advancing SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), we provided financial empowerment support to ten women to strengthen their businesses and promote economic independence.

The Chairman of the foundation, Lady (Lt. Col.) M. A. Obigho (Rtd.), in her remarks warmly welcomed the guests and congratulated them on the International Women’s Day and appreciated them making themselves available and taking advantage of the keynote address which is tackling a very pertinent topic, the new tax law.

The event also featured an enlightening keynote presentation by Mr. Adewale Adebola, BSc, ACA, on “The New Tax Law: All You Need to Know.”
