The Joan Agha Foundation (JAF) will commemorate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026 with a thought-provoking policy dialogue focused on economic empowerment and regulatory awareness.
The event, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., will take place at the Foundation’s Training Office located at 1B Johnson Omorinre Close, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
As part of the programme,
Mr. Adewale Adebola will deliver the Keynote Address on the topic:
“The New Tax Law: All You Need to Know.”
The session is designed to equip women entrepreneurs, professionals, and stakeholders with practical knowledge on recent tax reforms and their implications for businesses, households, and economic participation.
Speaking ahead of the event, Dr. Mrs. Joan Agha, Founder and President of the Joan Agha Foundation, noted that policy literacy remains a critical pillar of women’s empowerment.
“When women understand the policies that shape their economic environment, they are better positioned to thrive, comply, and grow sustainably,” she said.
The International Women’s Day 2026 programme reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to empowering women through education, advocacy, and informed engagement in governance and economic development.
